Thank you for your interest in Damage Hitter Year Round Training Program. Below is the Damage Hitter Scheduling & Structure details. The goal of this information is to provide you a brief overview of how we go about the program so we have a simple onboarding process for those who qualify for our program.
WHAT IS DAMAGE HITTER
Damage Hitter is a year-round training program that allows for consistency and stability of work in hitting and life-skills. We believe that the more closely life-skills are related to hitting by the hitter the better the hitter is. Within the parameters of this work and what makes Damage Hitter’s foundation successful is the strong baseline of hitting and baseball instruction from Karl Carswell (and his staff) that are regularly correlated to life skills. The Damage Hitter training system and style has a proven track record of helping hitters become better human beings and reach their potential as baseball players.
YEARLY STRUCTURE & SCHEDULING
As stated in the paragraph above Damage Hitter is a year-round training program. We have weekly appointments. This year-round training is packaged into the 4 specific seasons of the year and the developmental seasons of our baseball year. Our year begins in August and ends at the end of July. The seasons of the year and the developmental seasons are listed below along with the cost.
* Full Year | August  -July | Paid in full 15% discount
* Fall | August 12 – October 28 | POST-SEASON | 11/12 weeks
* Winter | November – February | OFF-SEASON | 14/15 weeks
* Spring | March – May | PRE-SEASON/IN-SEASON | 13/14 weeks
* Summer | June – July | IN-SEASON | $500 5/8 weeks
With consistency of work being vital our schedule is set 1 hour a week on the same day of the week every week except holidays and pre-scheduled days or weeks off based on the schedule of Damage Hitter Staff. For instance Monday at 6:00pm-7:00pm is one specific training time. If it is your training time you will attend that day and time every week.
All hitters will be added to the google calendar to help us keep track of the schedule.
BASIC HITTING PLAN
Within the Damage Hitter Structure the fall and winter is when we establish a baseline of how each hitter will approach the season with their swing and what they want to accomplish. Much of what we do in the fall-winter is learn how to master basic general concepts of their swing and repeat them at their highest level of functionality. Although this is very basic as you know from watching your player hit often times the hardest part of hitting is taking their best swing regularly. The first goal of Damage Hitter is to give each participant a personal mastery understanding of their swing.
We work on general concepts of hitting and a mastery of their personal concepts of hitting. Combining these two concepts with the understanding that it’s the hitters responsibility to use what they have learned from pitch to pitch for their own personal success and the success of their team.
These things change as players develop, but will not be changed instantly in 99% of hitters. I make it a priority to be in attendance for this foundation and to provide numerous verbal and nonverbal keys for growth. The individual use of these keys by the student is the actual secret sauce of what we are doing. Damage Hitter Students learn to use these individual keys faster than the average hitter because of our consistency, focus on knowing their keys and how to use them.
BETWEEN SWINGS
Between Swings a complete player development program. A hybrid version will be available for all Damage Hitter Training Program players this fall for your use throughout the following season.
SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTORS
I make it a point to be in attendance all fall and winter as well as make an effort to have our substitute instructor Justin Greiner to attend a few times. This is important for hitters and staff because when the spring comes I will miss some days to see my son play. We have yet to have anyone misunderstand this because we all belive in family first and because we make it a point to be upfront about it. I’ve been approched by 2 individuals to be interns this year so their may be more instructor participation.
NEW STUDENTS
New students are welcome July/August for the Fall and in October for the Winter and at both those times for yearly participation. We do not take many new students in the spring and none in the summer.
TYPES OF STUDENTS –
We have yearly students and seasonal students. Yearly students own their hitting time for the full year and receive a discount for their 1 time upfront payment in August. Seasonal students are billed before each season and pay for the season.
FIRST COME FIRST SERVE
I have been blessed with great hitters since I began teaching hitting in the late 90s. My best advertisement has and always will be the hitters. Your kiddos improvements, great hitting and superior attitudes grow this business every season and because of them Damage Hitter is sold out season after season. I have no doubt this season will be the same. We are on a first come first serve basis and you as a current hitter is at the top of the list. Over the next week you may reserve your hitting time for the year by texting me that you will keep your current time. I will add it to the spreadsheet schedule and send you the invoice.
If you have a referal we will move them to the next available opportunity to sign up after the current roster is scheduled. We have a full 2023/24 roster of students behind you. And our goal is to fill the 2024/25schedule with dedicated hitters.
ALL APPOINTMENTS WILL BE SCHEDULED ON DAMAGE HITTER GOOGLE CALENDAR

From 5:00-10pm I’m in the batting cage with the hitters if you feel the roads are too dangerous for you make the call and let me know. Your communication will help me and everyone else avoid a potential issue.

ZERO CANCELATION POLICY
We have a zero cancelation policy. The reason for this policy is we have zero available time outside our scheduled times to reschedule. With this said, the intent is not to punish you for missing and nor will we punish ourselves. If you must miss you have the ability to trade hitting times with someone else on the roster at their convinence.
We also do not prorate sessions or align our schedule to fit when your games are. We are a year round hitting program. If you choose half a session you owe for the full session. If this does not fit your needs its ok to pass on the session.
Our intent is not to create an issue for anyone. Injuries and sickness happen and in those situations we will adjust accordingly.
MISSED APPOINTMENTS
After the schedule is set everyone will receive a roster of participants with cell numbers. If you must miss an appointment and would like to attend. We suggest you contact persons on the roster and arrange a swap with them. Then 3 way text me to alert me of the swap. If the person helping you has no issuse the swap is approved.
Thank you for your patience and participation,
